Netflix has approved a sequel to its record-breaking animated film KPop Demon Hunters, the most-watched original movie ever with over 500 million views since its June 2025 release. The story follows the K-pop girl group HUNTR/X who battle demons disguised as a rival boy band, with their soundtrack topping the Billboard Hot 100 and earning Grammy and Oscar nods. Returning directors Kang and Appelhans, fresh off an Oscar nomination, kick off a multi-year Netflix deal, expressing pride in expanding this Korean-led story and its beloved characters.
